Este es un poema de Bukowski que siempre me ha gustado. Es medio oscuro, como casi todo lo que escribió.

Be Kind

we are always asked
to understand the other person's
viewpoint
no matter how
out-dated
foolish or
obnoxious.
one is asked
to view
their total error
their life-waste
with
kindliness,
especially
if they are
aged.
but age is the total of
our doing.
they have aged
badly
because they have
lived
out of focus,
they have refused to
see.
not their fault?
whose fault?
mine?
I am asked to hide
my viewpoint
from them
for fear of their
fear.
age is no crime
but the shame
of a deliberately
wasted
life
among so many
deliberately
wasted
lives
is.

Por algo hay que partir

Este primer aporte es para presentarme. Me llamo Francisco Marchant, tengo 32 años y soy casado hace 3 años con la Carola. Como la mayoría de la gente trabajo, en mi caso, trabajo como perro, pero no por mucho tiempo más. Estoy a 2 meses de irme con la Carolita a Londres a estudiar, por lo que este espacio servirá entre otras cosas para contar nuestras aventuras en el viejo continente y para mantenernos en contacto con las personas que quiero, o sea, 2 de las tres F (family and friends, no fools this time).
