La vida es bella, para casi todos...
Este es un poema de Bukowski que siempre me ha gustado. Es medio oscuro, como casi todo lo que escribió.

Be Kind
we are always asked
to understand the other person's
viewpoint
no matter how
out-dated
foolish or
obnoxious.
one is asked
to view
their total error
their life-waste
with
kindliness,
especially
if they are
aged.
but age is the total of
our doing.
they have aged
badly
because they have
lived
out of focus,
they have refused to
see.
not their fault?
whose fault?
mine?
I am asked to hide
my viewpoint
from them
for fear of their
fear.
age is no crime
but the shame
of a deliberately
wasted
life
among so many
deliberately
wasted
lives
is.

Que bien. Que buen poema. Que fácil identificarte (si lees inglés, claro).
Es un tema que me da vueltas, a veces... tener que aguantar a algunas personas porque "son así"... El Bufón del Rey Lear le dice a su anciano señor que si los papeles se invirtieran, lo haría azotar, por llegar a viejo antes de ser sabio...
mejor nos ponemos a la tarea, no se nos pase la hora... por lo demás, supongo que la compasión también se aprende, como también la capacidad de ponerse en los zapatos del otro.
Aunque a veces ni contando hasta 100...
